Timing belt replacement

Timing belts keep your engine running like a well-oiled machine. They're essential for two reasons: First, they ensure that the internal moving parts of an engine operate smoothly and without interference. Second, timing belts can power some of the other essential components of your car's system (like the water pump, oil pump, and injection pump). That means you can rely on them to perform their designated task reliably.

When should I have my timing belt replaced?

If the intake valves open too early, too much fuel-air mixture may flow into the engine combustion chamber, resulting in poor combustion and power loss. And if the exhaust valves open too early, the combustion chamber will lose pressure and provoke a power loss. If the engine parts are very out of sync, they might collide and damage each other, resulting in costly repairs.

What is a timing belt?

The timing belt is a rubber belt with rigid teeth that interlock with the cogwheels of the crankshaft and the camshafts. It synchronizes the motion of the crankshaft and camshafts. This ensures the engine intake and exhaust valves open and close with the pistons in time. The vehicle will not run properly if the crankshaft and camshafts are not working in unison.

Why work with dedicated technicians to have your timing belt replaced?

Our team comprises certified technicians with the training and experience to offer timing belt repair or replacement on all cars, vans, crossovers, SUVs, and trucks. In addition, we use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to guarantee the most precise service possible, and we only use OEM or the best quality parts in every service.

When your vehicle's timing belt is replaced, you can be sure that the new belt will last through the next suggested replacement. Our team knows that purchasing a car is one of the more significant investments you'll make, and it's our duty to do what we can to prolong the life of your vehicle. To help save time and money on labor, we may suggest replacing your water pump or fixing your timing belt if the timing belt is 'water pump driven' on your exact model car.

Warm-up

Myths

Brake pads need to warm up to work effectively.

Facts

This is false unless you're an IndyCar driver. The brakes on your average street vehicle produce enough friction to stop your car even at cold temperatures. It doesn't matter if they are cold or hot; your brakes will bring your vehicle to a halt either way.

Replacement

Myths

The brakes need to be replaced every time the car is serviced.

Facts

Brake pads do not necessarily have to be replaced at each service. Many technicians will tell you that brake pads should be replaced when worn down to a specific thickness, but this may vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle.

Pads and Rotors

Myths

Brake repairs focus on pads and rotors.

Facts

When it comes to brake repairs, most people only think about the pads and rotors. The truth is, however, that several other components need to be inspected and repaired when necessary. These include brake fluid, hoses, calipers, and wheel cylinders.

Brake Pads

Myths

The pads always cause braking noise.

Facts

Your brake pads are built with indicators that will rub against the rotor when worn down to the point of replacement. When the indicator rubs the rotor, it produces a high-pitched squealing noise that sounds like it's coming from around your tires.

Wet Brakes

Myths

Wet brakes increase braking time.

Facts

Wet tires and roads cause increased braking time, not wet brakes. For example, it takes about three times longer to brake on wet roads than on dry roads, but not because any part of your brake system is damp.
